Slate, also known as ceramic rock panel or SINTERED STONE, is a new type of porcelain material made from natural raw materials through a special process and high temperature firing. Its production process includes pressing with a 10,000-ton press and firing at a high temperature of over 1200°C. It is able to withstand cutting, drilling, sanding and other processes to make oversized panels. The main raw materials for slate include natural minerals such as kaolin, feldspar powder, quartz powder and clay.
The advantages of slate include fire and heat resistance, hard wear and scratch resistance, impermeability, acid and alkali resistance, and environmentally friendly zero formaldehyde. It is widely used in the field of home and kitchen panels, as well as tabletop materials such as dining tables and furniture countertops. The main difference between slate and ceramic tile is its workability and material uniformity, rock slab has larger size, better quality uniformity and is healthier than ceramic tile.
